Private Keys

This feature allows you to generate, view, upload, or delete your private keys.

The first step to set up an SSL certificate for your site is to add a private key. We strongly recommend that you use SSL certificates if your visitors submit sensitive information to your website. Users may generate a new key or upload an existing key through a *.key file.

You can generate a new private key or upload an existing private key. Likewise, you can edit and remove a current private key.

  1. Under the Generate a New Private Key heading, select the desired key size from the Key Size: menu.
  2. In the Description: field, you can write a brief description about this private key. This step is optional.
  3. Click the Generate button to generate the new key.
